Will Ferrell brings “rare baby Bengal tiger” and Zenith watch to Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon
Zach BlassComedy comes in many forms. Some stand-ups prefer one-liners, hot-takes on political and social issues, dating disasters, or embellished “true” stories. And then there are individuals like Will Ferrell, who effortlessly seems to be able to make anything funny. He proved this yet again on a recent episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, with a hilarious Bengal tiger bit while also wearing a Zenith watch.
People often poke fun, or even express serious concern, at talk-show segments in which an animal expert brings wild animals to set. These theatres are not really appropriate spaces to bring such majestic creatures, like rare birds and big cats. And it appears Will Ferrell leaned into this trope with a twist, by having a likely planted audience member pretend to be a baby Bengal tiger. The silly comical bit is a whimsical yet strategic effort to promote his upcoming Christmas movie Spirited that also stars Ryan Reynolds. As expected, the clip is already amassing tons of views and comments on YouTube.
Of course, as the hilarity ensued, watch geeks could immediately clock the tri-colored registers of a Zenith El Primero. And I feel safe in my inference it is in fact the Zenith Chronomaster Original, but on a changed strap. It is nice to see Will Ferrell has some serious horological taste, going off the beaten path that is full of Datejusts and Daytonas.
