Time+Tide is transitioning from traditional watch journalism to a creator-led, video-first content operation across our AU/UK/US markets while maintaining its authoritative reputation as a publisher of accessible, informative and entertaining daily news articles on the subject of luxury watches.

We need someone who can match editorial integrity with platform performance and who is excited by the tailwinds that AI creates for media organisations who can use it to increase volume, velocity and creativity – understanding what drives traffic and engagement while maintaining the quality that watch enthusiasts and industry partners expect from Time+Tide as a a legacy watch media title.

This role works within strategic frameworks set by CEO while working quickly towards owning day-to-day editorial / multiplatform content decisions and content optimisation with a view to increasing volume and velocity of content through canny use of AI.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Editorial Direction & Content Strategy

  • WIth the daily assistance of AI agents, set editorial direction across all content platforms that balances commercial priorities (retail partners, brand collaborations) with organic audience growth
  • Drive website growth through fit-for-purpose content, while also supporting website-based ecommerce initiatives.
  • Drive social media reach through video-first content strategy, while also supporting social media commercial / conversion targets
  • Aim to repurpose as much content as possible from source content, with keen senses for platform specific content
  • Identify trending topics and conversations within the watch community while filtering for commercial relevance with sophisticated AI workflows
  • Managing a small team of freelance writers as needed
  • Collaborate with CTO on website technical evolution to support highly specialised platform strategy – focusing on traffic growth and increased ecommerce performance.

Content Creation & Editing

  • Write, edit and commission high-quality articles, scripts, captions, and multimedia content
  • Demonstrate a proactive and to-the-moment approach to integrating AI into workflows across the media business
  • Sub-edit, proofread and maintain editorial standards across all published content
  • Interview industry experts, brand partners, and stakeholders for content development
  • Craft compelling, platform-optimised headlines and formats
  • Work to deadline on time-sensitive content

Traffic & Performance

  • Monitor real-time performance across platforms using analytics tools
  • Apply SEO best practices to content creation – keyword optimisation, meta descriptions, headlines that perform in search
  • Use analytics tools to understand which content drives organic traffic and why
  • Build topic clusters and content journeys that drive both traffic and commercial outcomes
  • Track KPIs: pageviews, engagement rates, time on site, social shares, conversion to retail/partnership goals

Social Media Strategy & Publishing

  • Develop social strategies with the help of internal content creators across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms
  • Understand platform-specific content formats and optimise accordingly
  • Set publishing strategy and content priorities across multiple markets
  • Engage with community trends and conversations in real-time

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Editorial craft: Strong writing, sub-editing, and editorial judgement with excellent command of English grammar and style
  • AI-Driven Execution: You’re hands-on with AI tools, using them to elevate ideation, speed, creativity, and effectiveness.
  • Watch industry knowledge: Genuine enthusiasm and solid understanding of the luxury watch industry – not surface level
  • Platform fluency: Deep understanding of how content performs across social platforms and web
  • Data literacy: Can interpret analytics and turn insights into actionable content strategies
  • SEO fundamentals: Understanding of search optimisation without sacrificing quality
  • Pace + quality: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining standards
  • Strategic thinking: Can balance trend-responsiveness with longer-term editorial positioning
  • Portfolio: Demonstrable body of work showcasing diverse writing styles, formats, and multimedia content

Ideal Background

  • 5+ years in digital editorial/content roles with demonstrated growth outcomes
  • Experience managing website content strategy or social media at scale
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, editing software, and analytics tools
  • Proficient with Monday.com (or similar PM tools), Google Workspace, and asset tracking
  • Track record of growing engaged audiences, not just vanity metrics
  • Multimedia content creation experience across formats (video, photography, written)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
  • Journalism, Communications, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work

Events & Partnerships Manager – Melbourne, AU

Reporting to the General Manager, the Time+Tide Events and Partnerships Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing all brand and community events across Australia, as well as supporting global partnership initiatives. This hybrid role combines strategic planning, stakeholder management, and hands-on execution to deliver exceptional brand experiences aligned with Time+Tide’s vision.

End-to-End Event Management (AU)

  • Develop a 12 month event calendar to meet the business’s objectives in Australia, consisting of annualised events and ad hoc events between watch brands and non-watch brands.
  • Develop polished event decks for securing brand event partnerships in consultation with the Partnerships Director and General Manager Global
  • Pre event management – Establish and document success measures for each event in collaboration with GM and other stakeholders (e.g., guest engagement, sales, lead generation, media engagement etc), risk assessment and contingency planning to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Take ownership of Melbourne Studio event delivery — including venue sourcing, supplier coordination, budget management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partnering brands throughout the event planning process and onsite, ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standard.
  • Oversee guest communications and manage guest lists for both internal and external events. Collaborate with the Time+Tide team to curate a bespoke guest audience tailored to each event.
  • Set up and manage Eventbrite pages, including guest RSVPs, reminders, and database organisation in the lead-up to each event.
  • Work closely with brand partners and Head of Content Operations to develop event media assets, including invitations, header plates, screen visuals, and virtual merchandising.
  • Management on evening/during event – suppliers, store staff, coordination with partnering brand. Stakeholder communication/ alignment and real-time updates during events
  • Coordinate media deliverables with brands, such as CEO interviews, social media posts, and related content.
  • Coordinate with the Managing Editor AU regarding interviews, speeches and event briefs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with event partners by sending post-event reports and ensuring timely publication of all media deliverables working in collaboration with the Content Operations Manager.
  • Creation and maintenance of Post Event Feedback Surveys for partnering brands
  • Lead biweekly planning meetings with Time+Tide’s event support team to coordinate upcoming events. Post-event, facilitate debriefs to review feedback, identify key learnings, highlight areas for improvement, and evaluate ROI for Time+Tide.
  • Community feedback statements/Brand statements

Ongoing Studio Activations

  • Collaborate with the team to deliver engaging in-studio activations — studio sips, watch discovery sessions, viewing parties
  • Support the General Manager Global and Studio Manager in coordinating and executing brand takeovers and activations, including planning logistics, liaising with brand partners, overseeing on-site activations, and ensuring brand guidelines and objectives are met throughout the process

Partnerships

  • Collaborate with the Partnerships Director to manage and maintain relationships with watch brands and partners ongoing, both in Australia and Internationally
  • Prepare responses and pitch decks back to brands in consultation with the Partnerships Director
  • Maintain media kits, rate cards and company documents and provide to internal and external stakeholders as requested
  • Ensure brand guidelines, core messaging, and tone of voice for branded partner content is maintained across all external communications. Seek brand approval when required
  • Oversee the calendar management of all brand appointments for watch trade fairs throughout the year
  • Completion of all consignment paperwork for watch loans, logistics of watches to production team/ photographer both locally (Melbourne Team) and internationally (Amsterdam based Creative Director) and returns back to the brands with the assistance of the Time+Tide retail team
  • Work closely with CFO to complete contract paperwork inline with business requirements
  • Oversee filing and documenting of all signed and returned contracts into Trello for ongoing reference

Reporting

  • Prepare regular post campaign reports with objectives, key metrics and insights and delivered within a timely manner back to the brands
  • Update partnership tracker monthly to ensure the business is delivering requirements of partnership contracts within their agreed time period in consultation with the Head of Content Operations
  • Assist in budget tracking and management for partnership initiatives.

Culture Champion

  • Create and Lead Culture Team
  • Lead internal Time + Tide culture initiatives, including organising quarterly ALL HANDS setings, celebrating birthdays, recognition, anniversaries, and key wins, and planning impactful team-building activities.
  • Assist with onboarding new team members by sharing onboarding materials, providing equipment, ensuring IT set up with Time+Tide’s IT manager and serving as a point of contact for any questions.
  • Support our HUB initiatives, including inducting new team members, updating the HUB with quarterly news and announcements, and being the go-to contact for HUB-related queries. Serve as the primary contact for all culture-related matters, including policies on time-off requests, task ownership, and navigating the broader operational structure.

Office Management/Culture Hero:

  • Employee Satisfaction Index (ESI) / Survey Scores: Derived from regular surveys, these scores measure employee contentment with their work environment and overall company culture (not 100% sure how we could accurately obtain this information without being affected by factors outside of my control, eg. management, employee relations etc.)
  • 95% of tasks completed by their deadline – In relation to maintaining office supply stock, filing invoices, completing tasks assigned by leadership team
