Anyone that’s paid more than a passing glance to Time+Tide stories, social media posts and videos over the years knows one thing. We do things a little differently over here. Especially at watch fairs. It’s not entirely by design. We are more often than not as chronically over-caffeinated as we are understaffed. Luckily for everyone, the soon to be red hot watch season of 2021 is no different!
We’ve decided to celebrate our, uh, point of difference, with a video format that neatly packages it all up. Short takes on new releases for the time poor. Lists that cut through the guff and get to the good stuff. Personality rich clips from the brands that show they’re not all bad, after all. And a reassuringly ‘authentic’ demeanour overall that we hope offers some welcome respite from all the super slick brand videos we’re all gorged with at watch fair time.
We’re kicking things off with a candid blast from the CEO of IWC Chris Grainger-Herr, who, surprise surprise, is 100% one of our all time favourite brand people. Firstly, he knows his shit. His passion for watches, for details, for progressive touches is super authentic. The collection this year is a great case in point. To give the people what they want, you need to be prepared to ask! Secondly, he loves playing along with anything we serve up. Brave man. Great man.
What can you expect?
Bloopers. Tons of em. Mistakes. Yes, the occasional mis-read and mis-match. We are moving at light speed here to get this done. It’s inevitable. But it’s also kind of funny. In episode one, Andrew and Nick take the blooper count to GOAT levels. Check out the Top 5.

Loosely. In terms of what to expect, this is how the videos play out. We start with an intro.
- Then we have a guest walk out who isn’t the person we say it is.
- Then we have the two best soundbites from our many interviews with the brands.
- Lastly, the best bit, the Top 5 with me and another member of the team.
