New Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba watches come in one green colour, but two sizes

Hamilton’s world has revolved around the Khaki Field for several years now, with other brand interest stemming from unique watches like the Murph from Interstellar and the various Ventura releases. Lately though, it seems like Hamilton have turned their focus towards divers, reminding the watch-enthusiast community at large of their versatility. Since they released a new edition of the Khaki Navy Frogman, the Hamilton Kahki Navy Scuba has also been updated with a different flavour of green dial for each of the two case sizes.
Starting with the heftier of the two and sporting a solid steel bracelet, the 43mm version of the Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba is rich with detail. The green ceramic bezel has a cool tone to it, similar to a British racing green, while the smoked gradient dial highlights shades all the way from a dark forest to a bright apple. Its stippled texture adds a lot of depth, while the luminous paint within the hands and applied hour markers is an off-white colour as to not clash with the green too much. Although the Navy Scuba has been criticised in the past with only 100m of water resistance, this latest generation is a full-spec dive watch with a 300m rating and everything needed to match the ISO standards. It’s equipped with the Hamilton H-10 movement, providing a healthy 80 hours of power reserve and a 3Hz beat rate. If you’re not that keen on the steel bracelet, then the 22mm lug width does give you plenty of options to swap it out for a strap whenever the occasion arises.
The other flavour of Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba is decidedly trimmer, both in size and in styling with a much more simple outlook. Its navy green matte dial is evidence of a no-nonsense military style, matching the aluminium bezel with a black segment from 12 to 3. The white details are crisp and legible, overall claiming the personality of a utilitarian watch. Its 37mm case is great for those who have small wrists, or even just people who prefer something with a bit more vintage flair. Its 18mm lug width fits the NATO-style strap with leather-reinforced holes, and also helps bring the price down. The 100m water resistance suggests that it’s more orientated towards casual swimming as a sports watch rather than diving, and the quartz movement adds to that assessment.
