INTRODUCING: Time+Tide Images

Time+Tide

We couldn’t be happier to announce that Time+Tide has entered into a joint venture with Melbourne-based master photographer Kristian Dowling. Together we bring you Time+Tide Images, watch photography that aims to “show watches in a new light”.

Time+Tide Images: Showing watches in a new light.

We have had the feedback over our first 12 months in business that watch storytelling is enhanced with a strong visual point of difference. In this way Kristian’s thoughtful, skilful and nuanced work allows Time+Tide to tell our own story of the watch, every time.

Kristian is known to watch photography fans as @leicashot and he’s known to readers and followers as the man behind the lens at most watch fairs and events we attend. Aside from being a gun photographer, Kristian is also a watch tragic. It’s our quiet belief that his love of watches comes through in the work. It’s a good fit in every possible way.

Time+Tide Images will offer the unique bundling of event / product photography services into one. Brands and clients who have worked with KD know that he operates at great speed and with great skill. The following gallery of shots have all been photographed under pressure and with a portable lightning rig that KD carries around. It’s some kind of show, and the results speak for themselves.

Kristian Dowling on the launch of Time+Tide Images:

“I’m excited to join the Time+Tide guys at this point where we’re starting out together as a new team. There’s a lot of energy in the office and a lot of arguments about watches. It’s perfect.

“Time+Tide Images allows me to blend my two passions; watches and photography. I love the challenge of shooting watches. Each watch has its own personality and I like finding it, then bringing it out with the use of not only light, but shadow too. If any photography geeks want to talk about the technical side of watch photography, hit me up. There’s a lot we can learn from each other.”
