Well… It comes as no huge surprise that the biggest watch news this week was the reveal of the “Snoopy MoonSwatch”. But, it was by no means the only cool release this past week – with everything from incredible independents to resized icons and hot daily wearers. Scroll below to dig in.

Swatch x Omega Bioceramic MoonSwatch ‘Mission to the Moonphase’

  • A new, non-limited MoonSwatch drops with Snoopy on the dial and a new moonphase complication.
  • Blasting this MoonSwatch with UV light will reveal a hidden message on the moonphase sub-dial, in a nod to the Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Omega Speedmaster.
  • The Mission to the Moonphase will be available from select Swatch stores starting March 26.

Vacheron Constantin x The MET ‘Masterpiece on your Wrist’

Vacheron Constantin The Metropolitan Museum of Art watch bespoke comission

  • Vacheron Constantin and New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art (better known as the Met) have unveiled the first project in their ongoing partnership – an extension of the ‘Masterpiece on Your Wrist’ program launched in 2019.
  • This collaboration will allow clients to commission timepieces that incorporate artwork from the museum’s incredible catalogue.
  • As each watch will be a bespoke piece unique, pricing for each commission is on request with a Vacheron Constantin boutique consultant.

Renaud Tixier Monday

  • The partnership between top watchmakers Dominique Renaud and Julien Tixier is made official with the first release of their new brand, the first in a series of seven that revisit fundamental watchmaking principles.
  • An all-new movement was developed, inspired by perfecting the energy-harnessing capabilities of the micro-rotor.
  • Not just technically impressive, the wonderful finishing and unique structure extends from the movement to the 40.8mm gold cases.

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatique 42mm

Blancpain Fitfty Fathoms

  • Blancpain brings back the same case as the 70th Anniversary Act 1 Limited Edition timepiece released in 2023, this time in rose gold and titanium.
  • While historically a watch on the larger side, these 42mm introductions make it wearable also to more modest wrists.
  • Two colours are available for each case material: you can choose either a blue or black sunray dial, with a colour-matched sapphire bezel.

  • Maintaining a feminine inspiration, the latest Legacy Machine Flying T returns in a more unisex style with a black onyx dial.
  • The 38.5mm diameter makes it a viable option for all wrists, but the 20mm thickness ensures prominent wrist presence.
  • The sapphire crystals on both the front and back sides are domed to best accommodate its intricate movement.

Longines Hydroconquest GMT

  • The HydroConquest GMT collection gets increased legibility with the introduction of a 43mm stainless steel case.
  • The new model is available in three different colourways: black with red accents, green with yellow accents, and blue with azure accents, all with a sunray finish to the dial.
  • Paired either with a three-link style stainless steel bracelet or a colour-matched rubber strap, they are quintessential sports watches.

  • Ahead of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, Girard-Perregaux drops a lithe new take on their integrated luxury sports watch.
  • Its grey Clous de Paris dial gives this chrono a utilitarian, monochromatic look.
  • Unlike some titanium variants of rival integrated luxury sports watches, it’s not a limited edition – which is welcome news.

  • Breitling celebrates the 25th anniversary of the first non-stop balloon flight around the world with a new analogue/digital hybrid watch.
  • The dimensions of the case remain virtually unchanged from the previous model, but the sides of the titanium case have been carved to give the watch a more modern look.
  • The orange dial, which echoes the colour of the Orbiter 3 capsule, has a vignette look, with the black exterior matching the negative digital displays.

  • Laco introduces new”Ulm” and “Würzburg” models in more compact 39mm cases.
  • The traditional look of the pilot’s watches is enriched by a copious amount of lume both on the hands and the dial.
  • The original 42.5mm size remains in production for both models, keeping them as an option for lovers of authentic pilot watches.

Seiko Astron GPS Solar Dual Time Chronograph

  • For the first time, Seiko combines the Seiko Astron GPS Solar with a Dual Time and Chronograph complication.
  • Available in three different colour variants, you can choose between a panda or reverse panda dial with red detailing, or an all-black dial with a black coated case and bracelet.
  • There is also a fourth special version celebrating 100 years of the Seiko brand named after the company founder Kintaro Hattori; a limited edition of 1,000 pieces.
