Channing Tatum sports a Bulgari Aluminum alongside Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt in new film “The Lost City”

But in the newly released movie The Lost City, we spotted a daily wearer make its cinematic debut, at least to our knowledge, on the wrist of Mr Magic Mike himself: Channing Tatum. While the watch may not be the first pairing that would come to mind, this ’90s inspired entry-level timepiece from Bulgari is the brand’s top-selling watch of 2020 – the Bulgari Aluminum.
To set the stage, Paramount Pictures explains: “Brilliant, but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, ‘Dash.’ While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever.”
Taking on the journey and the jungle alongside Channing Tatum in The Lost City is the Bulgari Aluminum. The 40mm watch is a refined take on the Bulgari Bulgari of the late ’90s, with a notably improved depth rating of 100 metres.
Aluminum, while not considered a particularly luxurious material, in the hands of Bulgari results in an elegant yet sporty look with a smart-casual aesthetic. The lightweight daily wearer, with its tried and true ETA 2892 caliber, makes for a perfect vacation watch – robust, accurate and oozing in stealth style. It is outfitted on a rubber bracelet, yes bracelet not a strap. Aluminum links within the rubber create a bit of fixed length, but camber around the wrist for stellar comfort.
