Andrew McUtchenThe reason for this video was a late-arriving strap for our Doxa SUB 600T ‘pacific’. Necessity dictated that, with time running out to shoot a video, we had to choose an alternative aftermarket strap to put on the watch for the first appearance which, if you missed it, you can see here.
The decision as you can see from the video was the orange Isofrane strap, which is awesome and you should definitely consider picking up from our shop. However, the process to choose that strap was long, and as usual at Time+Tide, vexed, tortured and argued over. Most of the debate centred around which colour of Isofrane strap we would use – in the words of the GOAT cricket commentator, it was “the bone, the off-white, the ivory or the beige”, plus orange and charcoal for good measure.
However in the end, after trying multiple options, another alternative actually scored higher from all team members. You’ll have to watch to see which one. So what we have done here with this video is capture the process we went through to give the pacific several pairs of shoes and then each vote on which looked the best.
The twist here is that we are giving away all the straps you see on this video.
