Watches and Wonders 2024 has seen the launch of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s annual theme, and that’s a thorough exploration of what precision means to the brand, and there’s no better person to explain this than CEO Catherine Rénier, who took our own Andrew McUtchen on the journey.
Duomètre Heliotourbillon Perpetual
- The Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre Heliotourbillon Perpetual proves just how much the Duomètre system can cope with.
- In addition to a perpetual calendar with a grand date display, the new calibre 388 movement boasts a heliotourbillon which rotates like a spinning top thanks to three cages.
- Each of the mainspring barrels provides 50 hours of power supply.

Duomètre Chronograph Moon
- The first Duomètre in 2007 was a chronograph, so here the range’s reinvention is most clear.
- Measuring sixths of a second is cool enough as is, but having the constantly-spinning foudroyante hand makes for an amazing party trick.
- In contrast to the speed of the 1/6th second chronograph, the new calibre 391 can also accurately track the slow phases of the moon.

Duomètre Quantième Lunaire
- JLC’s Duomètre technology provides two separate mainsprings and gear trains for the timekeeping and complications, heightening the possible accuracy and negating the stresses of power demand.
- A foudroyante hand careens on the dial, rotating once per second with 6 intervals to measure 6ths of a second.
- Its blue opaline dial provides a gentle glow, complimenting the moonphase display.
