Every Alpina release at Watches and Wonders 2024

D.C. Hannay

Alpina has long been recognised as pioneers in what we now think of as sport watches, reaching all the way back to 1938 with the release of the Alpina 4. But the brand’s history stretches back even further to 1883, having just celebrated its 140th anniversary last year. Alpina continues its sporting ways with its new models for the 2024 edition of Watches & Wonders, introducing three new models under the larger Extreme umbrella, with several variants of each on deck. First, in a move that’s sure to please fans, the Seastrong diver has been given the Extreme treatment, with an integrated form factor, more compact dimensions, and a choice of time-only or GMT functionality. Secondly, there’s a new, more compact version of the integrated Alpiner Extreme, now with its first quartz movement, and a choice of four dial colours.

Seastrong Diver Extreme Automatic GMT

alpina seastrong diver extreme automatic gmt

  • The Diver Extreme Automatic GMT becomes the ultimate tool watch in Alpina’s catalogue with the addition of a second time zone
  • With a monochromatic, ceramic GMT bezel, the red counterbalance of the seconds hand and tip of the GMT hand are the only pops of colour.
  • The AL-560 movement is likely based on the Sellita SW330, though the brand doesn’t specify the origins of the 50-hour power reserve movement.
