Parmigiani Fleurier is one of those hidden-gem brands that somehow remains out of the spotlight, yet permeates luxury watch culture in almost every sphere. Whether it be a watch on the wrist of a celebrity or the movement inside another maker’s timepiece, the Parmigiani name will crop up again and again. This year, their true mainstream breakout may have arrived with a batch of tantalising releases including one of the highlights of Watches & Wonders in the form of the Parmigiani Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante.

The Tonda Rattrapante GMT is a stunning example of how a third hand doesn’t need to clutter a watch dial, keeping the looks pristine and elegant. In short, it’s a minimalist design stunner, but it wasn’t the only highlight of the collection. The Tonda PF Flying Tourbillon exudes luxury being constructed entirely from platinum and featuring that lauded complication, but in a way that isn’t remotely gaudy. The Tonda PF Skeleton demonstrates the artistry behind Parmigiani Fleurier’s movement design, while keeping a legible handset that makes it easy to tell the time at a glance.
