“Hi I’m Zach, and my in-house movement has a beat rate of 3,600 bph” (resting heart rate of 60 bpm = 3,600 bph) 😂

Zach has been an avid watch enthusiast for over half a decade, but his roots with timepieces date back to being a young boy enamored with his grandfather’s Rolex Datejust. Even then, Zach could tell it was something special and the cyclops magnification over the date window immediately caught his eye. Zach’s first connection with Time+Tide was as an avid reader, taking in all of the content in his Watchville feed. He would later submit a story to Andrew about acquiring a rare Seiko grail, the SBWA001, and, at the time, he never would have imagined it would have led to him becoming a full-time contributor for one of his favorite watch publishers – and eventually their first US Editor. From reading Watchville, to leading Watchville – it still blows his mind to this day.

My first watch: Longines Mainliner from 1942 “The sweeping second hand and patinated dial signaled I had my first “big boy” watch”

Favourite watch: A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Up/Down 221.021 “Whenever putting it on or taking it off, I always take a minute to admire the hand finished movement”

Finale watch: Dufour Simplicity 34mm “I set the bar extremely high because the truth is I never want the hunts to end”
