Pietro Pilla

I hope you all had a great start to the year! As 2024 has kicked off, we have seen a slow start when it comes to watch releases, but with people having just returned from holiday there is nothing unusual about it. While the bigger brands are taking a little longer to get going again, in this week’s selection we have a prevalence of smaller, independent brands. Enjoy the reading!

Longines Master Collection GMT

Longines Master Collection GMT models

  • Longines reintroduces a GMT watch to their Master Collection after a long absence from the range.
  • Thinner and less aesthetically cluttered than previous Master Collection GMTs, it’s powered by a Longines-exclusive ETA calibre.
  • Two variants are available: yellow gold or rose gold, both of which are paired with grey alligator straps.

  • With the Year of the Dragon approaching, Swatch releases five timepieces to celebrate in different sizes and styles.
  • They are all inspired by the bright lights of East Asian cities, and they are available in blue, white, red, black, and gold.
  • The black quartz model, with the dragon design on the dial continuing also on the rubber strap, is equipped with SwatchPAY!, Swatch’s contactless payment technology.

IFL Watches x Tissot PRX Dialicious Concept

Tissot PRX Dialicious Concept

  • IFL Watches customises the silver dial Tissot PRX 35mm with a hand-painted, enamel dial.
  • The theme of the custom dial is a trio of sweets, cheerfully remembering the festivities just past.
  • Being a handmade product, every dial of the limited edition is slightly different, making it unique.

Ollech & Wajs M-52B

Ollech Wajs M 52B AF

  • In 1966, O&W produced a watch for US airmen serving in Vietnam. Now, in 2024, that watch returns with modern specs.
  • With a 39.5mm stainless steel case, a screw-down crown and 300 metres of water resistance, this watch is ready for action.
  • The silhouette of a B-52 bomber on the dial also celebrates the 70th anniversary of the B-52 as a serving plane.

Artya Son of Earth Dome Collection

Artya Son of Earth Dome Collection

  • Artya doesn’t follow any rules, and in this case, an overly domed crystal tops a magnificent stone dial.
  • All the dials are made of natural materials (like minerals and butterfly wings), meaning that no dial is alike.
  • These watches are available only as limited editions or piece uniques, adding to the magic of the stones.

Swatch Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to MoonShine Gold “Snowflake”

Swatch Moonswatch Snowflake

  • You may say it’s just another MoonSwatch release, but I think Swatch nailed this last one for 2023 with its tiny snowflakes, just in time for Christmas.
  • We haven’t had much snow in Europe so far, so this might be a lucky charm for the rest of the winter.
  • There’s nothing new about this timepiece, except for the design on the second’s hand, coated in MoonShine gold.
