THE HOME OF WATCH CULTURE

“Hi, I’m a watch nerd and regular nerd.”

When Fergus went rummaging around the third draw down to find a watch for work, they had no idea what they were in for. The process of pulling out the vintage relic, researching what it needed to get working again, and having the serviced heirloom on their wrist awakened the obsessive part of their nature that loves to delve deep. Fergus sent Andrew an email about becoming a writer for Time+Tide, and the rest is history. Now, with a tidy collection including Omega, Cartier, Seiko and more, every day carries a hint of disbelief whenever they check the time.

First watch: 1958 Omega Seamaster – “My great-grandfather Harry had incredible taste.”

Favourite watch: 2008 Omega Planet Ocean – “It does everything except actually making me James Bond.”

Finale watch: Omega De Ville Central Tourbillon 5133.30.00 – “This one’s gonna take more than just my kidneys.”
