We’ve had plenty of cause for celebration this week, with Tourbillon Day taking place on the 26th of June. Patented all the way back in 1801, this week we have no fewer than three releases featuring this complication. Of course, one is the new Double Tourbillon Quai de l’Horloge from Breguet, while the others are from two independent brands based in Switzerland. Hublot Classic Fusion Essential Grey

• Hublot launches two special editions of the Classic Fusion in 44 and 42mm, exclusively online.
• The two models share the same handsome monochromatic colour palette, with a titanium case and a grey sunray dial.
• To complete the look, a grey rubber strap with a textured fabric on top is paired with the watch.

Breguet Double Tourbillon Quai de l’Horloge

• The Classique Double Tourbillon Quai de l’Horloge is Breguet’s latest Double Tourbillon reference, debuting in rose gold for the first time since 2006 to celebrate Tourbillon Day.
• Not only does its skeletonised dial boast two tourbillons, but it rotates twice per day, turning one tourbillon into an hour hand.
• Because the calibre 588N2 is viewed from the dial side, the back of the movement has been engraved with a scene of Breguet’s studio near Pont Neuf, in Paris.

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Ceramic Collection

• In a significant development for the Le Brassus brand, Blancpain has just released its first-ever full ceramic bracelets, outfitting the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe in three different ceramic colours across three different complications, with the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune a particular highlight.
• Blancpain has introduced a uniquely robust design for their ceramic bracelets, which feature premium brushed finishes, dark ceramic hues and large titanium screws that reduce ceramic-on-ceramic rare.
• Australian journalists (including our very own Australian Editor, Jamie Weiss) were the first in the world to try these watches and bracelets on for ourselves; a rare opportunity.

Zenith Defy Skyline Édition Paris

• Zenith releases a future classic with a verdigris gradient dial in the Defy Skyline Édition Paris.
• The futuristic steel case contrasts the dial colour that evokes weathered bronze, present everywhere in the City of Lights.
• This is a limited edition of 50 pieces, available exclusively from Zenith boutiques in France.

H. Moser & Cie Streamliner Concept Minute Repeater Tourbillon Blue Enamel

• Moser pairs a minute repeater and a flying tourbillon in the new Streamliner Concept in stainless steel.
• Just because showing off with a high complication wasn’t enough, the Maison also adds a blue fumé enamel dial to the mix.
• The cage of the tourbillon, the hammers, and the gongs of the minute repeater are visible from the dial side.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Black Dial

• Omega releases a trio of Aqua Terra models, all featuring a glossy black dial as part of the latest campaign for the Olympic Games.
• After last week’s blue Aqua Terra and this week’s black one, we’re expecting a red one to continue the Olympic Rings…
• To present these and to show how the torch of inspiration is being passed down, Omega chose swimmers Michael Phelps and Léon Marchand to debut this collection.

Longines Majetek Pioneer Edition

• The Longines Pilot Majetek Pioneer Edition brings a true noir feel to the ‘30s-inspired pilot watch.
• Cased in grade 5 titanium, the 43mm case is more wearable than its stainless steel counterpart.
• The Pioneer Edition is COSC-certified and limited to 1,935 pieces.

Voutilainen KV20i Reversed

• Kari Voutilainen celebrates 20 years by releasing a tourbillon model whose movement has been reversed.
• The lack of a dial makes it possible to admire the entirety of the movement and the brand’s signature finishing styles while on the wrist.
• The watch is available in titanium, platinum, gold or steel while the movement is made in German silver and gold.

Ressence Type 5 L

• Ressence introduces a full-lume dial in its new dive watch for ultimate legibility.
• When the lume is not active, the watch has a monochromatic grey look that continues on the grey fabric strap.
• The watch, with its 100 metres of water resistance, meets the rigorous ISO 6425 standards required for underwater exploration.

Breitling Avenger Night Mission

• Breitling debuts three Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Missions that pay homage to elite U.S. naval aviation forces.
• The watches feature dials inspired by (and co-branded with) the US Naval Academy and the VX-30 Bloodhounds and VX-31 Dust Devils test squadrons.
• Each uses 44mm black ceramic cases, COSC-certified B01 movements, and military leather straps, priced at US$10,200.
