Hi, I’m Buffy and I can obsess over just about anything.

When Buffy went rummaging around the third draw down to find a watch for work, they had no idea what they were in for. The process of pulling out the vintage relic, researching what it needed to get working again, and having the serviced heirloom on their wrist awakened the obsessive part of their nature that loves to delve deep. Buffy sent Andrew an email about becoming a writer for Time+Tide, and the rest is history. Now, having gone through countless types of watches to discover their style, Buffy finds joy in the unique, the exuberant and the weird.

First watch: I never liked wearing watches until I needed one for work, and found my great-grandfather Harry’s 1958 Omega Seamaster. I got it fixed up, and went down the rabbit hole of watch collecting in no time.

Favourite watch: Currently my favourite watch is a vintage Seiko 1320-5490 from 1981, which I snagged on eBay for dirt cheap. Its frosted silver dial is incredibly rich, and the ornately-carved bracelet makes me feel like a Tolkien elf.

Finale watch: The Pasha de Cartier reference 1033 has haunted me ever since I sold mine. Of course the prices have gone up and it’s out of reach for now, but I’ll get it back someday.
