Zach BlassDifferent brands have different approaches to Watches & Wonders releases. Some come to the fair with a single hero novelty along with a few collection refinements. Others bring an onslaught of new horological toys to play with. Cartier is without a doubt in the latter camp, coming to Watches & Wonders 2023 with over 80 new references to dig into.
That is a ton to digest. So, fresh out of the booth, Kylie and I reacted to a selection of our favourite Cartier Watches & Wonders 2023 highlights including developments in the Privé, Santos de Cartier, Santos Dumont, Tank collections and more.

Cartier Privé Tank Normale collection
- The Cartier Tank Normale is the original 1917 Tank design from Louis Cartier
- This is the 7th entry into the rare Privé collection, succeeding the Crash, Tank Cintrée, Tonneau, the Tank Asymétrique, Cloche and Tank Chinoise
- Offered in standard and skeleton forms with the standard models also available on case-matching precious metal bracelets – all of which are limited editions

Cartier Santos Dumont Skeleton Micro-Rotor collection
- The new Cartier Santos Dumont Skeleton watches are a technical and aesthetic tribute to Alberto Santos Dumont
- They use the newly developed 9629 MC automatic skeleton calibre, with a micro-rotor in the shape of a replica of the Demoiselle
- One of the three watches is a limited edition, cased in yellow gold with the front of the case navy-lacquered
