Quite possibly the best prize ever – Win a Baume & Mercier Clifton and celebrate on a tropical island (COMPETITION CLOSED – WINNER ANNOUNCED SOON!)

Time+Tide

The thing about a GMT watch, which allows you to take in multiple time zones at a glance, is that it immediately makes the mind wander to travel. And usually to places you’d rather be. For example: beaches, tropical breezes, and ultra luxury accommodation, all far away from the madding crowds…

It is our absolute pleasure to announce that Time+Tide, in partnership with Baume & Mercier and boutique hotel specialists Mr & Mrs Smith is giving you the chance to win all of the above – on an island.

The prize includes our favourite Baume & Mercier Clifton, the GMT, and flights for two people from any Australian capital city to Hamilton Island, Queensland where you will enjoy two nights accommodation at the exclusive ‘ultra-luxury’ qualia Resort. Yes, that would be the same qualia that was named “Best Resort in the World” in 2012 by Condé Nast Traveler. We’d be understating it if we didn’t admit that we’re already feeling sharp pangs of envy.

The watch- Baume & Mercier Clifton GMT

Baume & Mercier Clifton GMT Ref. 10112

The Clifton series was launched by Baume & Mercier in 2012 with a style that evokes the spirit of the 1950s, but in a thoroughly contemporary design. Our favourite of the collection is this 43mm Clifton GMT (ref 10112) thanks to its “balanced and beautiful” proportions. The 24-hour track ringing the dial, in rather fetching blood red, like the tip of the GMT hand, allows for easy interpretation of the second timezone, which may well come in handy, given that Australia’s southern states have just entered Daylight Savings.

How’s the serenity?

Two nights accommodation in your own pavilion in the Ultra-Luxury qualia Resort. To quote Mr & Mrs Smith, qualia is located “on the tropical Hamilton Island, in the midst of the Great Barrier Reef. qualia is one of Queensland’s most serene and beautiful escapes. Built by Australian billionaires, the idyllic resort has a definite no-expense-spared feel, and all 30 acres of immaculately landscaped grounds exude elegance.”
