WATCHES & WONDERS – It’s a whitewash! The DOXA Whitepearl expands into multiple forms
Borna BošnjakFollowing the resounding success of the entry-level SUB 200 Whitepearl colourway, DOXA applies a lick of fresh white paint across its model range. Spanning five different models, the white colour departs from the usual neon we’ve grown accustomed to from DOXA, for a more classic, yet ever-legible, look.
SUB 300 Carbon COSC Whitepearl
A 42.5mm diameter, 13.4mm thick dive watch capable of 300 metres of water resistance. Surely, this will be a behemoth on wrist? With the DOXA SUB 300 Carbon, that is never the case, weighing in at 87 grams due to its forged carbon case. With a titanium movement chamber and caseback, the lightweight nature of this watch has been extended to the dial. The Whitepearl treatment not only makes the dial highly-contrasting, but also gives it the full-lume treatment. Check out that bicolour lume! The famous FKM rubber strap returns, now in white, and we’ve raved about them plenty in the past. A COSC-certified Sellita SW200-1 guarantees 38 hours of power reserve at 28,800 vibrations per hour.

SUB 300 and 300T Whitepearl
The classics, reimagined in an all-white Whitepearl dial. Famously worn by Jacques-Yves Cousteau, they continue the lineage started by the Professional Orange DOXA SUB. Whether you pick the COSC-certified and 300-metre capable SUB 300 or its chunkier brother, the 1,200-metre SUB 300T, they’re sure to serve as fantastic tool watches. Both with a 42.5mm diameter, they’re available with a choice of stainless-steel, beads-of-rice bracelet, or white FKM strap.

SUB 600T Whitepearl
Feeling partially responsible for the revival of the 600T, we’re pleased to see the collection expand with the addition of four 600T Whitepearl models. Recognisable by its 4 o’clock crown, the 40mm case and its chamfered, sharp edges remain unchanged from its other stainless steel counterparts. Customers will have a choice of white ceramic or sandblasted steel bezel inserts, as well as block-link steel bracelet or FKM rubber strap. Like many of the non-COSC SUB family, it’s powered by the Sellita SW200-1, with 38 hours of power reserve.

SUB 1500T Whitepearl
Last, but certainly not least, is the big-daddy SUB 1500T. At 45mm in diameter and 16.25mm thick, it’s no wonder it can withstand 1500 metres of pressure. The box sapphire crystal towers over the Whitepearl-branded dial, with bold, black details ensuring maximum legibility. Available on a hefty beads of rice bracelet or white FKM rubber strap and with a Sellita SW300 ensuring 42 hours of power reserve.
