Longines are quietly having another cracking year, spanning divers, pilots and vintage
Andrew McUtchenThere has been a huge amount of attention paid to Longines’ new Spirit Collection since it was launched. And rightly so. It offers a contemporary and value-packed new proposition right in the spot where buyers want it; which is a watch that can be a daily wearer that’s robust enough for most situations and well finished enough to catch the eye as a superior quality product. Tick, tick, tick, goes the Spirit Collection – it is pretty much a perfect answer to the question of what a modern Longines should look like.
But the Spirit Collection is only part of the Longines 2021 story.
Almost stealthily, taking a leaf out of other brands’ books, the winged hourglass has been releasing a range of watches that are bang on trend with wider tropes and themes we’re commonly seeing this year. Degradé dials, a change-up in case materials, exuberant use of colour and interesting strap pairings all feature in the five non-Spirit watches we’ve chosen here.
