Toledano & Chan host one night in our London Discovery Studio

They might be one of the most exciting duos in the watch industry right now. Following on from the recent release of the B/1.2, Phil Toledano and Alfred Chan will be hosting a live event from our London Discovery Studio this Thursday evening. This is going to be the first official event the pair have hosted since launching their Brutalist-inspired watch, and we could not be happier to have the two of them in the room for the evening.

Not only will the two founders be in attendance, but there will also be an exclusive chance to try on the new mother-of-pearl dial B/1.2. While pictures can get you so far, they can not compare to trying on a watch as unique as this. Its asymmetrical case, and tapering bracelet make for quite an experience on the wrist, so much so that our own Andrew McUtchen wore his B/1 more than any other watch last year.

For this special occasion, the Discovery Studio will be transformed into a Manhattan bar as Andrew talks to Phil and Alfred about the incredible journey they have been on as they have become one of the most talked about and exciting disruptive brands we have in the industry today.

While many of you will be familiar with Phil and his online persona, Mister Enthusiast, I can attest to just how interesting and informative it can be to sit down with the man and fire questions at him, as there has never been a question he doesn’t have a worryingly elegant answer to. Whether he’s touching on his rather eccentric collection of Geezer watches, his passion for Group B rally cars, or his multi-layered artwork, he always has plenty to say.

But don’t let Phil’s exuberance make you forget about his partner in crime, Alfred Chan, who is just as, if not more interesting. He brings a level of brilliance and clarity to this project which I think elevates it above a lot of its competition. And hopefully all of this will come out once Andrew starts to talk with the pair of them.

So if you’re not able to make it in person, make sure you tune in around 19:15 GMT to hear what is promising to be a lively and colourful discussion. If you are one of the lucky ones to have a ticket, you can arrive from 18:30 onwards, and you will want to be there by 19:00 so you don’t miss any of the panel discussion.
