The new Norqain Wild One Zürich Marathon Limited Edition celebrates the 20th anniversary of the race

Norqain is a watch brand that refuses to sit still, and understandably so. Considering the brand is all about the outdoors, sustainability and extreme sports, as well as the fact that the independent brand’s staff has one of the lowest average ages within the industry, they like to keep things running and exciting. And, speaking of running, last year Norqain cemented themselves as the official timekeeper of the TCS New York City Marathon – with a Wild One Limited Edition model that celebrated the partnership. Last week, it was revealed Norqain had become the official timekeeper for the Zürich Marathon. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their new partner, Norqain has now presented a Wild One Zürich Marathon Limited Edition of 20 pieces.
In the same vein as the Wild One TCS New York City Marathon Edition, the new Zürich Marathon Edition features a map-motif of Zürich with the marathon route highlighted in blue. While the dial is largely white/grey with a touch of blue from the highlighted marathon route, the 84 gram black NORTEQ case, a robust and proprietary combination of carbon composite, rubber, and titanium, uses a blue rubber shock absorber that further accentuates the pop of colour.
Beneath a commemoratively etched exhibition caseback, which denotes the 20th anniversary of the Zürich Marathon and that the watch is a limited edition of “one of 20”, is the Kenissi-developed Norqain calibre NN20/1 which offers 70 hours of power reserve on a full wind and is COSC chronometer certified to run within +6/-4 seconds per day. The watch can be purchased on either a white mesh rubber strap that continues the tones of the dial or, for a touch more stealthy approach, a black rubber strap to more seamlessly blend into the case.
