The most expensive Studio Underd0g ever at the last Pizza Party ever
Russell SheldrakeLast week, we hosted a pizza party in collaboration with Studio Underd0g in our new London Discovery Studio, with the main event being the auction of the Pizza Unique to raise money for charity. But that wasn’t the only news from the night. Andrew and Richard got on the mic to announce that this would be the last pizza party ever, with the Hand Delivered Pizza Watch being discontinued at the end of the year.
With the room packed with T+T and Underd0g fans, we had to take the opportunity to whip around the room and ask which one the people preferred, the classic Pepper0ni, or the controversial Hawaiian – so I went around with both strapped to my wrist to find out. If you don’t want any spoilers as to which flavour won, stop reading now and watch the video. But I think it will come as no surprise, especially to all the Italians in the room, that the Pepper0ni ran away with the victory.
Once we got the flavour of the room, it was time for the main event, the auction of the Pizza Unique. As we’ve mentioned before, it was an online auction hosted by our friends at Loupe This. It had been running for a week, and we timed it so it would end during this event. As we entered the final hour, we discovered that the current winning bidder was in the room. In fact, he had registered to bid on the watch that night using the QR codes we left around the place.

However, he was getting outbid by a mystery online bidder, and this bidding war went back and forth for maybe 20 minutes, neither bidder wanting to back down, and both looking to raise as much money for charity as possible. In the end, our man in the room won the battle, placing his final bid at US$17,000 and making the Pizza Unique the most expensive Studio Underd0g ever sold. All that money will go straight to Mary’s Meals, a fantastic charity that helps feed hungry kids all over the world, and one that Studio Underd0g has been supporting for years.
All that remains for me to say is a massive thank you to everyone who came for the event, whether you left with a new watch, a raffle prize, or just some good watch chat. It was amazing to have you all there, and we can’t wait to welcome you back, whether it’s for another event or just our standard opening hours, 10-6, seven days a week.
