We launched the new Studio Underd0g Av0cado and Guacam0le with a side of nachos and clones
Russell SheldrakeSome may have thought that we would have had enough food-related watches from Studio Underd0g by now, but Richard and his team continue to show that there are new recipes for success at every turn. The new Av0cado and Guacam0le were a lesson in how to deal with brands that want to plagiarise your designs, and we wanted to celebrate these two new releases the only way we know how: with a massive fiesta at our London Discovery Studio.
We invited the most loyal of Underd0g’s London-based fans to the Studio where we had plenty of avo-based treats to eat, a bunch of the new watches to buy and even the original fakes on display (although not for sale!) Off to the side, we had the Underd0g cloning machine, which may have just looked like two microwaves bolted together, but we have it under good authority that this is the machine used to make all of these SU clones. And to prove it worked, the main attraction of the night was Andrew and Richard talking through these new releases, but they were joined on stage by Andrew’s clone! This did turn out to just be his brother Chris, but he had us all for a second…

Of course, the watches were on hand, and as soon as Andrew, Chris, and Richard had finished, it was time to get hands-on, after napkins had been used to ensure no real guac ended up on the watches. With the room full of Underd0g fans and enthusiasts, it was not long before happy customers were putting on their latest food-based watch. With a few cervezas to help wash those tacos down, the night was considered a massive success by everyone who came. It’s always going to be a good night when you have a room full of Underd0g followers, and last night was no different.
Now we are all left thinking what Richard and his team will be picking from the menu next… Anyway, have a great weekend!

Time+Tide shop pick of the week: Baltic Aquascaphe
There’s something incredibly reassuring about the Baltic Aquascaphe design. It has enough vintage cues and familiarity to it that it feels part of the holistic watch universe, but with enough of a difference to make it stand out. And once you put it on one of these beads-of-rice bracelets, it takes it to another level. Discover the entire range of Baltic Aquascaphes in the Time+Tide Shop, either online or in-store at our London or Melbourne Discovery Studios. Price: starting at A$1,000.

Zach challenges tennis champ Daniil Medvedev for his Bovet Récital 30 watch
Who knew that our very own Zach Blass was able to multitask at such a high level that he could hold a (ping pong) rally with tennis superstar Daniil Medvedev, while also interviewing him at the same time? Now, if that’s not talent, I don’t know what is. Read more here or watch on YouTube above.
