Our 5 picks from the (crazy) Longines Black Friday sale

Nick Kenyon

This year, Longines is jumping on board the Black Friday sales and, boy, are there deals to be had. With watches from across their different collections up for grabs, if you’ve been in the market for one of the Saint-Imier brand’s watches for a while and haven’t pulled the trigger, today is the day to scratch that itch. Here are five of our favourites that are available in the Longines Black Friday sale.

Longines Heritage Military COSD

This watch is special because it was part of the first batch of Heritage models that Longines has since become so renowned for. Released back in 2015, the no-nonsense field watch is a faithful nod to the robust tool watches that Longines has long produced for the armed forces of the world. The blocky 40mm case houses the brand’s own automatic caliber L888, which features a very healthy 64 hours of power reserve. RRP: $2575. Sale price: $1545 Visit Longines right here to check it out.

Longines Conquest V.H.P. GMT

There aren’t many Swiss watchmakers who take quartz watchmaking seriously – Longines is one of them. Not only are they making very accurate quartz watches, but they are technically innovating with their Flash Setting system that allows you to sync your watch with your phone for perfect accuracy. This Longines Conquest V.H.P. GMT features a black carbon-fibre dial and arrives on a comfortable stainless steel bracelet. RRP: $2075 Sale price: $1245 Visit Longines right here to check it out.

Longines Conquest Classic

Everyone should have a two-tone watch in their collection. It serves up a little bit of bling without being over-the-top, while adding a pleasing touch of ’80s swagger. This Longines Conquest Classic delivers that mood with a sleekly refined 40mm case, a pink gold bezel and bracelet mid-links. Beneath the black dial is the easy-to-service and reliable automatic L888 movement. RRP: $5750 Sale price: $3450 Visit Longines right here to check it out.

Longines Column-Wheel Single Push-Piece Pulsometer Chronograph

This was a watch that Time+Tide was so enamoured by when it was released that we even had it painted in watercolour. It was another one of Longines’ early Heritage releases and one that was instrumental in setting the standard that’s since gone from strength to strength.

The 40mm stainless steel case is well proportioned and boasts a pulsation scale around the dial for a vintage reissue that comes utterly correct. RRP: $6400 Sale price: $3840 Visit Longines right here to check it out.

Longines Conquest 24 Hours

To find a Swiss-made automatic GMT for less than $1400 AU is a pretty unusual event in 2020. But to find one that looks as good as this Longines Conquest 24 Hours is even more unlikely. The blue sunburst dial contrasts nicely with the red GMT hand while the 41mm stainless steel case offers the versatility to take you from the boardroom to the bar. I’m sure there are a bunch of people out there who have this as their one and only watch. They certainly wouldn’t have any regrets. RRP: $2325 Sale price: $1395 Visit Longines right here to check it out.
