Liver King upgraded to a Royal Oak Offshore for his July 4th Las Vegas jaunt

Time+Tide

Last week we spotted the Liver King wearing an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore while celebrating Independence Day in Las Vegas. For those of you unfamiliar with the TikTok star and supplement magnate, the Liver King (aka Brian Johnson) has gained notoriety for his stomach-churning proclivity of eating about a pound of raw liver each day.  Now, you might think that a celebrity wearing an Audemars Piguet is hardly breaking news. And you would be right. It happens all the time. Audemars Piguet manufactures some of the most coveted and respected timepieces in the world, so of course the rich and famous have taken notice. But, what really stood out to me here is the fact that Liver King, typically wears a Casio G-Shock. Most people when they travel to Las Vegas would opt for one of their more subtle timepieces out of fear of it being stolen in Sin City.

Liver King, however, did the exact opposite – forgoing his daily Casio for a Royal Oak Offshore ref. 26238ST.2000ST.01. Considering his Conan the Barbarian level physique, he, perhaps, is not too concerned with someone trying to attempt to rip the watch off of his wrist. But, as we know, even heavyweight fighters are not immune to watch thefts.

The other odd element of this pairing between watch and man is the fact that an Audemars Piguet hardly fits into the aura of the Liver King lifestyle. This is a guy who claims to preach strength, happiness and ancestral living through the nine “tenants” of sleep, eating, moving, shield, connect, cold, sun, fight and bond. Unless he plans to add a ‘luxury’ tenant to his primal perspective, the only connection there is between Liver King and an Offshore is that both have been referred to as “the beast”.

However, it appears the Offshore may have only been a temporary Vegas wrist accessory. Since that July 4th weekend, all of the Liver King’s posts in which he wears a watch show him once again sporting his trusty G-Shock. This leads me to suspect the Offshore may have been a loaner from one of many Las Vegas watch vendors, for the purposes of the product promotion he was filming in Vegas for his latest line of products.
