KISS, MARRY, KILL: The Time+Tide team reveal their picks from Watches & Wonders
Zach BlassWatches & Wonders is obviously a great time to get introduced to some of the biggest novelties of the year across 40-plus brands. But, it is also a rare moment each year where our global team finds themselves all in one place together. Last year, you let us know you really enjoyed our meet the team video. So, this year we are back again with a new team video from the close of the Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023 fair – but with a twist.
This time around we decided to play Kiss, Marry, Kill with each present team member sharing their picks. You will have to watch the video above to find out which watches we chose.
While we were sad Ricardo and Jeremy were unable to join us this year, with Ricardo now working with our friends over at Worn & Wound and Jeremy busy over at WAX insurance, this year three new faces joined us at Watches & Wonders: our new contributor Kylie, our trusted wrist-model and contributor Pietro, and Lars who served as our much needed second cameraman on the ground.
Some of you are probably familiar with the game Kiss, Marry, Kill perhaps with slightly different terminology. But to make it crystal clear, the snap question for the team was to pick three watches. A “marry” watch is something you could see yourself wearing and owning forever. It is a watch you really like, and have no hesitation in committing to. The one you want to “kiss” is a watch you really like, but you cannot see yourself sticking with for long. Whether you are concerned the design is not the right size, it doesn’t have enough water-resistance, the aesthetic is not within your comfort zone or whatever, it is a watch that perhaps has more one-night-stand appeal than put-a-ring-on-it appeal. Kill, I think is self explanatory. The watch we choose to kill is a watch that simply has no appeal to us, one that, were it to disappear from the world, we are not losing any sleep over.
