Khaki Field killstreak: Hamilton’s latest video game collab is with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Time+TideHamilton has long been the king of watches for the silver screen, and in recent years has begun to take over video games with watches created for both the Far Cry and Death Stranding franchises. Today, the American-Swiss brand has revealed its latest video game collaboration with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the newest entrant in the best-selling first-person shooter game series of all time.

Not only will you find the watch on the wrist of Axel Vermaak in the game, but you can find it in real life as the Khaki Field Auto 38mm Call of Duty Special Edition. This 5,000-piece limited edition is executed within a 100-metre water-resistant stainless steel case, with a multi-finished black dial, a khaki green NATO strap, and an 80-hour H-10 automatic movement. On the caseback, you have a special Call of Duty engraving, the most distinguishing element of this watch; otherwise, it’s identical to the standard 38mm Khaki Field Auto. However, it comes in an exclusive Pelican-style waterproof hard case.
What’s also interesting is that in their communication about this watch, Hamilton is now styling itself as “the watchmaker of game makers” – an assertive sobriquet, but an entirely justified one. This might be product placement, but as Jamie puts it: “The video game industry has long surpassed the film industry in terms of revenue and cultural impact.”
“According to most current estimates, the global video game market is worth over US$200 billion, which is about four times as big as the global box office. Games from ‘triple-A’ studios – the term used for the industry’s most prominent publishers – can rival Hollywood blockbusters in terms of scale and production values. That’s why it only makes sense that Hamilton, a watchmaker famed for its close collaborations with the film industry, is now collaborating with the video game equivalent of a blockbuster,” he explains.
