What’s the most ‘TAG Heuer’ thing you’ve ever done? If the question ever comes up for me, I’ll have a ready answer. It was that time I rode shotgun in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car with the then leader of the Porsche Carrera Cup, 21-year-old Matt Campbell at speeds up to 250km/h around Sydney Speedway. In my manic, terrified interview before the ‘hot lap’ I confessed to Campbell, for some reason, that my daily ride is a Subaru Forester. That the chariot’s average speed, according to the trip computer, is 48km/h. It didn’t make the final cut of the video – but the raw nerves and, by contrast cool composure of Campbell, certainly did.
