echo/neutra brings some colour to its popular Rivanera, introducing the Ros’antico collection

Traditionally, the safest route for a dress watch was obvious. Silver, black, white, perhaps a conservative shade of blue if a brand was feeling adventurous. Recently, however, collectors have shown a growing appetite for watches that bring a little more personality to the table. Colours like salmon, lavender and pistachio have moved from niche curiosities to genuine enthusiast favourites, proving that a dress watch doesn’t have to be monochrome to feel elegant.
echo/neutra’s new Ros’antico collection leans into that shift with an antique pink dial that manages to feel distinctive without becoming attention-seeking. Applied across both the Rivanera and Rivanera Piccolo, the warm dial tone is paired with contrasting blue details and housed within the brand’s Art Deco-inspired titanium cases, creating two watches that feel refreshingly different from the usual dress-watch formula.

The Rivanera remains one of the more unusual dress watches in its segment, combining strong Art Deco influences with a lightweight grade 5 titanium construction. Measuring 27mm wide by 40mm long and just 5.9mm thick including the crystal, its rectangular case delivers plenty of visual presence while remaining remarkably delicate on the wrist. The exhibition sapphire caseback and 30 metres of water resistance round out a refined package which feels intentionally minimalist, yet purposeful.
For the Ros’antico collection, the Rivanera’s dial is rendered in a muted antique pink tone, creating a softer backdrop for the vivid electric-blue hands and minute-track accents. It’s an unusual colour combination, but one that works surprisingly well, with the warm dial and cooler blue details creating enough contrast to remain legible, while giving the watch considerably more character than other traditionally monochromatic dress watches.
Powering the watch is the manually-wound ETA 7001 Elaboré grade movement. A long-standing favourite among brands seeking ultra-thin proportions, it delivers a 42-hour power reserve while beating at 21,600 Vph, and helps the Rivanera retain its impressively slim profile. Being manually wound also gives the watch a classic character despite its modern looks, allowing the wearer to bond with it on a technical level relatively frequently.
Finally, the Ros’antico Rivanera is delivered on a blue Saffiano leather strap. Beyond just matching the dial accents, it introduces a slightly more contemporary edge to the watch, preventing the overall package from feeling overly traditional and supporting the shift away from the more monochromatic designs.

echo/neutra Rivanera Piccolo Ros’antico
While visually similar to its larger sibling, the Rivanera Piccolo adopts more compact proportions, measuring 26mm by 33mm and standing just 6.9mm thick. Like the standard Rivanera, it uses a grade 5 titanium case with an exhibition caseback, though its smaller dimensions give it a noticeably different feel and look on the wrist. Importantly, it retains the brutalist, angular design, with a pronounced lack of curves and soft edges, making it unmistakable.
The Ros’antico treatment arguably feels even more at home on the Piccolo. Here, the antique pink dial is combined with a finely textured guilloché-style pattern and darker hands, creating a softer, more understated interpretation of the colour scheme. The result feels elegant without becoming overly delicate, offering something genuinely different from a simple salmon-dial watch or a generic dress piece. It’s the sort of watch that does fly under the radar, that is, until it’s spotted and you get a closer look. The real beauty of the dial lies in the guilloché finish, which brings a bit of texture and, again, a subtle nod to the classic watches it takes at least some inspiration from.
Inside, there’s a different movement to its bigger brother, too, in this case a Sellita SW1000, again in the Elaboré grade. This being an automatic movement, too, it also operates at a slightly higher level, delivering a 46-hour power reserve while beating at 28,800 Vph, and features a date display at six o’clock. The date window shouldn’t upset too many, as it keeps things symmetrical and is almost a tiny feature on the dial. Although, look out if your eyes are starting to fail you and you haven’t got glasses yet.
Unlike the blue-accented approach taken with the larger Rivanera, the Piccolo is fitted to a brown Alpine calf leather strap. The warmer tones complement the antique pink dial particularly well, giving the watch a more relaxed and versatile appearance overall.
