DWISS marks 15 years with two new S1 Wandering Hours anniversary editions

Fifteen years is an important milestone for any independent watch brand, particularly one that has built its reputation by exploring different approaches to displaying the time. Since its beginnings in Lugano, Switzerland, in 2011, DWISS has carved out its own niche through modern, industrial design and an emphasis on unconventional displays, earning it dozens of international design awards along the way. To mark its 15th anniversary in 2026, the brand is revisiting one of its signature creations with two new special versions of the S1 Wandering Hours.
Instead of introducing an entirely new concept, DWISS has chosen to showcase the S1 Wandering Hours as a celebration of the formula that helped to define the brand. The wandering hours complication remains the centrepiece, now paired with two fresh dial executions that feature very different colours and textures. The first leans into the bold and expressive, while the other is more technical and industrial, giving DWISS collectors two distinct personalities wrapped around the same unusual mechanical architecture.
The 316L stainless steel case remains unchanged from the existing S1 Wandering Hours, retaining its distinctive 40mm cushion-shaped profile that immediately sets it apart. Finished with sandblasted surfaces and a contrasting brushed lug section, the case strikes a balance between sharp industrial styling and everyday versatility. At 13.8mm thick and with a lug-to-lug measurement of 44mm, its geometry provides the ideal canvas for an unconventional display, with the domed bezel creating a clear focal point without creating any distractions.
That display is, of course, the defining feature of the S1, offering a very different way of reading the time. Instead of traditional centrally mounted hands, the watch uses a wandering hours complication in which the active hour travels across a minute track before handing over to the next rotating satellite, with a centrally mounted disc representing the sweeping seconds display. Inspired by the Moon’s orbit around the Earth, the system creates a constantly changing display that feels mechanical in the best possible sense, rewarding a second glance each time you check the time.
For the anniversary collection, there is a choice between two very different finishes. The first is a saturated orange fumé dial with a smooth radial gradient from vibrant orange to black at the outer edges, giving the watch an unmistakably rich character. The second takes a far more understated route, pairing a circular-brushed silver surface with crisp blue numerals for a cleaner, more technical aesthetic.
Powering both models is a modified La Joux-Perret G100 Soigné automatic calibre, adapted to drive the wandering hours display while delivering a practical 68-hour power reserve. It’s a fitting choice for a watch centred on an unconventional complication, pairing a proven Swiss movement with the additional engineering required to bring the display to life. Completing the package is a DELUGS CTS (cut-to-size) FKM rubber strap with a 316L stainless steel deployant clasp, offering the durability and comfort expected of a modern everyday sports watch.
Limited to just 50 pieces per colourway, the S1 Wandering Hours 15th Anniversary editions celebrate 15 years of DWISS by returning to the watch that best encapsulates the brand’s design approach. With fresh dial options, a distinctive complication and a proven mechanical package, they feel like a fitting way to mark the milestone.
