Doxa revives a diving chronograph classic, the SUB 200 T.GRAPH II

The Doxa SUB has rightfully earned its place among dive watch royalty. Between its distinctive case shape, bright dial colours and long-standing connection to professional diving, it’s one of those designs that remains instantly recognisable nearly 60 years after it first appeared. However, tucked away in the SUB family tree is a model that tends to get less attention than it deserves. That particular watch is the T.GRAPH. Originally introduced in 1969, it took Doxa’s proven dive watch formula and added a chronograph complication, creating one of the earliest dive-focused chronographs on the market. Chronograph divers can sometimes be a confusing breed, unsure of which problem they’re trying to solve; however, the T.GRAPH remained a dive watch first and foremost, simply offering an additional way to measure elapsed time when needed.
For 2026, Doxa decided it’s now time for the T.GRAPH to make a return. The new SUB 200 T.GRAPH II preserves the character of the original while refining the details, pairing a slightly smaller, slimmer case with a modern Sellita chronograph movement and a new Caribbean Blue dial that joins the traditional Professional, Sharkhunter and Searambler colourways.
One of the most significant changes concerns the case dimensions. While the original modern T.GRAPH measured 43mm across and stood 15.15mm tall, the new SUB 200 T.GRAPH II trims those figures to 42mm and 14.6mm, respectively. On paper, those changes might appear relatively modest, but they should make a noticeable difference on the wrist, particularly given the substantial presence traditionally associated with cushion-cased Doxa dive watches. Importantly, the redesign doesn’t alter the watch’s overall character. The familiar tonneau-inspired silhouette remains intact in 316L stainless steel, complete with its broad shoulders and distinctive diving bezel.
As with other members of the SUB family, the bezel rotates unidirectionally and remains the primary timing instrument underwater. That distinction is important because, despite the presence of a chronograph, Doxa has always positioned the T.GRAPH as a dive watch first, and a chronograph second. This is reinforced by the fact that water resistance remains at 200 metres, and the screw-down crown and screw-in caseback further support the T.GRAPH II’s tool watch credentials.
Historically, the T.GRAPH was offered in three of Doxa’s most recognisable colours: Professional orange, Sharkhunter black and Searambler silver. For the new generation, all three return, accompanied by a fourth option: Caribbean Blue. Long associated with the broader SUB collection, Caribbean Blue has become one of Doxa’s most distinctive dial colours, sitting somewhere between navy and turquoise depending on the lighting. Its arrival gives the T.GRAPH II a slightly different personality from that of the more traditional options, while remaining unmistakably Doxa. The dial layout itself remains refreshingly straightforward, considering chronographs have a habit of looking quite busy. Alongside the central chronograph seconds hand, a yellow-accented 30-minute counter sits at 3 o’clock while a running seconds display occupies the 9 o’clock position. A date window at 6 o’clock helps maintain symmetry, and lashings of Super-LumiNova ensure the watch remains highly legible in low-light conditions.
Beneath the solid caseback is the Sellita SW510 automatic calibre, delivering a substantial 56-hour power reserve while beating at 28,800 Vph. Equipped with a Nivaflex hairspring and an Incabloc shock-resistance system, it’s a reliable, solid workhorse of a movement that also features subtle Doxa decoration on the rotor, even though it remains hidden. Importantly, the chronograph calibre provides the T.GRAPH II with an additional timing tool to work alongside the bezel, rather than being an out-and-out chronograph in the traditional sense, adding an additional dimension to the watch while preserving the clean, functional approach that defines the SUB collection.
Finally, the watch is available on a premium rubber strap, finished in black or dial-matched blue or orange for the Professional and Caribbean models. Additionally, the T.GRAPH II is available on a stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet for a classic yet versatile look. Both options are equipped with a folding clasp that features a wetsuit extension, naturally. Either strap option complements the watch well, leaning into the functional, refined aesthetic we know Doxa for. Overall, the T.GRAPH II is a faithful rendition of a historic model, which is a welcome sight in the catalogue, since it only returned briefly as a 130th-anniversary reissue. The real question is, does this new release breathe life into the dive-centric chronograph segment? Either way, it’s good to see a new dive watch with a difference.
