Shaped watches are having a major moment as of late, with legendary designs like the Crash or pieces from Gilbert Albert for Patek Philippe going for crazy money. But fortunately, we have a brand like Dennison, built around bringing trending, classic aesthetics to a larger audience for a lower price. Now, Dennison and its designer Emmanuel Gueit have no issue coming up with aesthetically appealing designs on their own, but when they bring Collectability into the mix, you know a stunning vintage-inspired design is likely on the table. And today, for the second time, Dennison and Collectability are teaming up to present the 2026 Edition Oblique Collection with the new Oblique Enigma and Oblique Vector.

Oblique Enigma

Dennison x Collectability Edition collection

There are four configurations between the two styles. The first, the Oblique Enigma, is quite literally a twist on Dennison and Collectability’s first collaboration, turning an elliptical cushion within a cushion into something more along the lines of a rhombus within a rhombus.

A diamond-cut bevel once again separates the two coloured surfaces, with a rich inner sunburst blue and outer sunburst green. Though you have both steel and gold-tone cases to explore for the Oblique Enigma, both case configurations are paired with the same blue and green sunburst dial.

Oblique Vector

Dennison vs Gilbert Albert Patek

The second style, the Oblique Vector, is a bit more classic, and conveys a clearer throughline to historic asymmetric watches like the ones from Gilbert Albert for Patek Philippe, with case-matching dials that have a sunburst finish and twelve lines radiating out from the centre. You can see clear visual parallels, at least most indisputably in regard to the dial, but the biggest difference between the two watches above is that the Patek on the left sold for over US$700,000 on Loupe This, while the Dennison x Collectability collaboration watch on the right is just US$790.

Like the Oblique Enigma, the cases have the same collaboration-exclusive geometry, measure 35mm x 33.6mm, are 30 metres water-resistant, affixed to an embossed leather strap with a case-matching pin buckle, and are driven by a Swiss quartz movement. But, the Oblique Vector pair have different dial hues – each matching its respective case.

Of course, a Swiss Ronda quartz calibre is by no means a conversation starter, but the Dennison x Collectability Oblique Enigma and Oblique Vector external design is definitely eye-grabbing. While the Oblique Enigma has a less clear throughline to some of the more famed asymmetrical designs, the layers of the shaping between the contrasting surfaces of the case and two dial colours really draw you in. And for those that find it a bit much, well, then the Oblique Vector keeps things more unmistakably classic. Whether fans of Dennison, Collectability, or both, or fans of asymmetric-driven designs in general, the collaborative pair have undeniably lived up to its mission of bringing visually intriguing, vintage-rooted design at a more accessible price point.
