HANDS ON: The Baume & Mercier Clifton 8-Day Power Reserve
Felix Scholz
While it’s not a new piece (introduced at Watches and Wonders last year) the Baume & Mercier Clifton 8-Day Power Reserve is a stunning, stunning watch on the wrist. We were very excited to try this limited piece out, and the big watch looks and feels amazing on the wrist. While it’s above the Baume & Mercier price point, it is still a watch that epitomises the design of the Clifton and the history of the brand.
What’s noteworthy about this special 8-day Clifton is the movement – it is powered by the IWC Calibre 59210, better known as the movement in the IWC Portofino 8-Day, and fellow Richmond company.
Australian Pricing- Baume & Mercier Clifton 8-Day Power Reserve
The Australian price is A$21,700, which as we said is well above what you’d normally expect from Baume & Mercier, but represents excellent value for a solid gold watch with this high-end movement.
