Bad Bunny rocks new stone dial Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch during Super Bowl LX halftime show

During his long-anticipated NFL Super Bowl halftime show performance, Puerto Rican superstar and recent Grammy winner Bad Bunny can be seen wearing one of Audemars Piguet’s newest Royal Oaks: a Royal Oak Selfwinding 37mm ref. 15553BA.OO.1356BA.04 in 18k yellow gold with a malachite stone dial. We don’t know if anyone was hedging any watchspotting bets on Kalshi or Polymarket, but was this the watch you expected to catch during the performance?

As our contributor Jason Lee wrote in his coverage of AP’s 2026 “first semester” releases (because they released a boatload of new watches last week), the appeal of malachite is built into the material itself: the dial’s banding is formed during crystallisation, and the depth of green can vary with copper content — meaning two examples won’t look identical in the light. The dials are paired with applied yellow-gold markers and lumed Royal Oak hands to keep the stone from becoming purely decorative. Under the hood, Bad Bunny’s AP is powered by the in-house self-winding Calibre 5909, which boasts a 60-hour power reserve and helps provide 50 metres of water resistance.
