BREAKING NEWS: Omega announce James Bond Seamaster 300 ‘SPECTRE’ limited edition
Felix ScholzThe story in a second:
Omega has just confirmed what James Bond will wear on his wrist in Spectre, the latest instalment of the franchise.
We already knew that Bond would be sporting a version of the latest Seamaster 300 on a 5 striped NATO strap (a design mistakenly thought to be the strap Bond originally wore in Goldfinger), based on photos of Craig during filming and in interviews.
And while the model is no surprise, some of the details of the limited edition are. The usual diving hash marks on the bezel have been replaced by a 12 hour scale, allowing the bezel to be used to keep track of a second timezone. The second hand is the other big difference, with the arrow being replaced with a ‘lollipop’. This lollipop style hand appeared on some vintage professional models, and was originally intended to provide maximum legibility.
We’ve got to say that this is the best Bond watch we’ve seen in quite a while – a toned back limited edition refreshingly free of gimmicks – just like Craig’s Bond.
The James Bond Seamaster 300 ‘SPECTRE’ Australian pricing and availability
